Elysium formed in 2001 in Tampa, Florida. The four original members :Tom Shelton, Matt McCartney, Spencer Anemik, and Ken Ingram played their first show at the Stone Soup Collective in Orlando Florida March 2002. Elysium went to record thier debut E.P. With Nothing To Prove... at Zen Studios in Pinellas Park June of 2002. At the end of recording the bands first full length album, Masses Of Assholes in 2003, the original drummer Ken Ingram quit. He was quickly replaced by ex-Fail Safe drummer Mikey D.U.I. Berg, and the project was dropped. Elysium then rushed into a brand new E.P. with Mike and a new set of songs. Recordings from the two combined projects were also used for promotional demos, which the band has passed out over 5,000 copies around the east coast. From there Elysium has played with local heros such as, The Dukes Of Hillsborough, Tim Version, River Chicken, and Black Cougar Shock Unit; to such national acts as Authority Zero, The Dave Brockie Experience, Nerf Herder, and Stephen Pearcy After Elysiums first independent tour of the east coast, spanning from Florida to New York, the band has come back to record their second full length album -Huntley Ave.. The album will be released in June of 2006 followed by a tour up the east coast (June 16- July 2) in promotion of the new album. If youve gotten this far, thank you for your time.
